Featuring..... A space I worked on with a client to update her decor....
Lots to see...so will try to explain it as best as possible....
furniture and art
white vertical blinds...sorry it is blurry
Paint was the most powerful way
to transform this home.
My client wanted a modern, "homey" and feminine feel to her space....
Here is how it turned out....
Found this buffet at my favorite place...Jackson square Mall in LaGrange, IL
The space plan was working well for my client...don't fix it if it not broken....so it makes it easier (I hope) for you to compare the before and after photos....
Features a wallpaper accent wall, new chandelier, painted antique buffet, new carpet and paint throughout
found mirror at homegoods, lamps at target
table and chairs from Pier One
...the round nice for this space since it is a pass through from entryway to kitchen....can add a leaf for more seating....
painted bookcase and accessorized with client's belongings and a few new items
painted fireplace and added can lights
purchased new custom upholstered furniture
Added new vertical blinds in same tone as walls and added custom stationary draperies on shortened rods...the rods extend onto walls so as not to block too much light/window glass
Not a fan of the vertical blinds...unless they are done this way...blending in. My client really loved how they functioned for her so we went this this look. We also chose a fabric blind instead of the plastic blind...softer looking and more updated.
So sad...have to revisit this client to get the real after photos of kitchen...lost them when I updated my phone, but had these still there to give you a glimpse
Painted cabinets dove white, added new hardware, granite countertops, subway tile, custom white blinds
and under cabinet lighting
garbage can in place where new dishwasher was going...these are not truly the after photos, but still looks amazing
We styled all the counters with useful and beautiful accessories...not shown
shown....sampling our hardware to choose
added hardwood floors...took out outdated wood elements and added wood in an updated way
Hope you enjoyed the before and after tour!
